Division 5

Leeds City OB IV v West End Park
West End should be able to pick up the points here but Leeds City will always give them a run for their money. 2-3

Rothwell Res v Old Batelians Res
The fixtures continue to come thick and fast and this one is no easier. Batelians are a team that are hard to predict as we beat them quite easily at their place earlier in the season when I expected a much tougher game but their recent results and Hodgson Cup run show they are a team to be feared. Every game is vital for us now and this should be a good one.

Shire Academics IV v Leeds Modernians Res
Shire beat Mods 3-1 at Mods on Saturday and look set to repeat that with a similar result on Saturday. 4-1.

Thornesians III v Norristhorpe Res
Thornes will give their all but ultimately Norristhorpe will be disappointed if they drop points here and I don't think they will. 1-4.

Tyersal Res v St Bedes Res
Game of the day in the Division as 3rd vs 2nd. Really hard to evaluate Tyersal as we are yet to play them but they are a key team in the promotion race. I think home advantage here could be vital but Bedes have done well on the road as well. Good game in store and will go for an entertaining 3-3 draw.

Not sure division 1 is displayed correctly above, I've taken the below from the FT site.

Div 1

Leeds City OB v Collegians
Leeds with plenty still to play and not many will be as tough as Collegians. Took a 93rd minute worldy by all accounts to win 1-2 a fortnight ago. I think it might be a two goal margain this time. 3-1

Leeds Medics & Dentists III v Farsley Celtic Junrios Res
Another big game down the bottom and Leeds can move within 2 points of the travelling side if they can pull this one off. It'll be close but Farsley have have plenty goals in them for a team situated where they are. On the other hand, Medics have one of the best defences in the league! 1-2

A very late look at the vital games this week with Ealandians long delayed Cup Semi-Final catching the eye. Ealandians form is not brilliant but this is a team of considerable potential. They take on a team that is in Div 2 of the Halifax League but obviously not a poor relation or they would not have reached the semi-final. I expect the young players and their more experienced colleagues to win and show the way to a superb final with Huddersfield Amateur.

The Shield game at Pocklington brings together one of the leading teams in the North Riding League Redcar Newmarket and one of the in-form teams in the YAL, Farsley Celtic Juniors. The North Riding League has recently enjoyed considerable success in the Inter League Cup and this should be a closely fought encounter. Farsley had a poor start to the campaign but has now moved up to fifth. Newmarket has always been one of the top five teams in the North Riding League this season and they have an outstanding striker in Michael Dowse.

Leeds Senior Cup Finalists Leeds Medics and Dentists and County Cup Semi-Finalists Alwoodley clash at Alwoodley. In the reverse fixture only a week ago the teams drew 1-1. This will be a classic played at a brisk tempo. Tempted to state "at a fast tempo" but could the number of recent games caught up with both sides? The emphasis for both teams has always been a reluctance to give the ball to their opponents cheaply, with both teams using imaginative and quick passing. Look forward to learning more after the final whistle for two teams that have great depth and players of a high calibre.

At the other end of the Division two clubs have fought hard a season to stay out of the bottom two. Beeston have deservedly reached the point through hard work at which a draw on Saturday would see them safe. On the other hand Morley, still recovering from their Wheatley Cup defeat, need to win to give themselves a chance of staying up.

In the Championship Horsforth St Margaret's will seek another victory to enhance their promotion chances and against an unpredictable Shire side capable of great things on its day. In an attempt to stave off relegation Wortley will look to take points out of Leeds City OB Res who will settle down, and in turn, rehearse their set plays for Monday evening's Marflitt Semi-Final. Bedes host Calverley with Bedes just outside of the promotion paces but will not find Calverley likely to surrender their third slot in the Championship.

In Div 1 no easy task for a Leeds City OB side that gave everything in the Leeds District Cup Final before losing on penalties. It was the Beeston Keeper who won the man of the match award for two outstanding saves. They start a long run in and Collegians will not make their bid for victory easy with the stars back kin the side.

In Div 2 Crusaders will have a stirring encounter with Colton Ath with the latter holding on to their slim promotion chance? Garforth will dig deep, with both eyes on a league and Cup double. That should be a tremendous contest.

No need to look further than Horsforth SM and Shire Res for a competitive affair with Horsforth top and Shire second in Div 3. Tingley and City OB Res will be a high quality Div 3 match as fifth play third positioned City OB Res.

The bottom two sides meet in Div 4 and that is Dewsbury Ranges Res and Thornesians Res with Thornesians still seeking their first victory.

In Div 5 A cracking contest in Tyersal where their Reserves host neighbours Bedes Res with a slim chance of Tyersal catching up with Bedes as Tyersal Res continue to improve
